Service throughout was one of the best we have ever received, starting with reception staff, room service, Spa therapists, service at breakfast and bar. Had a fantastic afternoon tea also, that we would highly recommend.
Nice young man serving breakfast both mornings and also the afternoon tea is an absolute credit to the hotel. Room was big and comfortable with a lovely balcony. Would love to visit again as soon as. Wonderful towels. Good food and cocktails. Striking reception area will stay in the memory. Staff are friendly, service was very good, restaurant and bar above average, the room was large, clean and well appointed, lovely views over the fields.
Our room was spacious with a balcony, and there was a large comfortable bed. We also had use of the heated pool, spa, sauna and steam room, which was lovely. The food in the lounge bar was very nice and the breakfast menu was extensive, with hot and cold options. A big plus of this beautiful hotel is that it is in between the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, so very convenient location..
My daughter enjoyed watching all the rabbits running around. The spa was good, but you need to book in advance. Check in was quick and effortless. Cream tea was waiting for us at apartment. Friendly staff helped us out with questions about apartment and spa. Spa area was good, had to walk outside to get there. Very pleasant staff, always a nice greeting whenever you pass by. Very comfortable bed and the room was massive and lovely. Sadly the Spa facilities were closed but we were offered nice complementary mini treatment each which made up for it.
However we would have loved to use the pool and sauna facilities as it was one of the main reasons we booked. It is a beautiful luxurious comfortable hotel but it is the staff that really makes it. It was a bit of a hike to our room, though we understood that lift installation would have been difficult in such a setting. When the room is refurbished, it needs a more coordinated hand - exotic birds wallpaper and gloomy Jackson Pollock-style artwork, both good, didn t go together.
The carpet was rucked up in the middle - too much cleaning? The location was perfect, the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, room cleaning standards exemplary, heating levels spot on for a miserable wet week. Otherwise no complaints. Lovely location, set in large private grounds, very quiet. My only criticism was the final evening meal in the main restaurant which I didn t enjoy much, I found the food quality in the lounge bar not so different from restaurant you have to book a table for.
The hotel was set in beautiful grounds and made a great first impression. We went for self catering. Lovely hotel in a really good place about 10 mom walk to the town when we went the Poole was shut so that gave up breakfast free for 2 day really lovely staff. The bathroom had a dead drawing on the floor for three days. The lack of variety and exorbitant cost of beer spoilt my stay. Bed was very comfy. Room was large. The apartment was clean and spacious.

The Cornwall Hotel & Spa Limited
We stayed here for 2 nights on a Groupon deal. We paid for the upgraded room and weren t disappointed. The shower was massive with his and hers sinks, must admit it s one of the best bathrooms we ve ever had in a hotel. Meal included on one night of the deal - restaurant lacked atmosphere tbut food was good. The second night we ate in the bar, we only had one course but the food was fine. Breakfast was good, and the staff were accommodating with our fussy requests! The hotel had a great cosy lounge area and many people were to be found drinking coffee and reading the papers here during the day. Staff were fine and check in easy.

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Definitely worth its four stars. Lovely reception area with real fire in the evening. Dining room extremely well presented including white grand piano. Views to die for. Our room was extremely spacious with sliding doors to balcony which had two chairs and small table overlooking pool and gorgeous sea views to side. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Groupon treat! - Review of The Cornwall Hotel, Spa & Estate
Ok so this was my first time to the Cornwall Estate Hotel and Spa and man alive it did not disappoint! I picked up a groupon voucher for a mid week spa break and thought why not make a bit of night of it also. Having stayed in many many many hotels for work and holidays it was a wonderful environment to walk into and a fantastic room to stay in! The room itself was very large with a large bathroom and one of those showers that really drench you. Loved it. The view in the morning was out over the estate and was a beautiful vista in the crisp morning sunshine. But I m getting ahead of myself.
